Another adventure this weekend for me and Julian. Well, we all were at Mt. Baker beach with the cousins and did some kayaking, fishing and sand building. It was good to know that if I ever needed to provide sustenance for my family I could at least catch oodles of 5" perch with a string and bamboo pole (and hook with worm). The kids all had a blast pulling these things up one after another. I was somewhat dissappointed that we didn't get them back in the water as the kids liked filling up their bucket (which ended up being a bucket full of dead fish - I guess fish can't live very long in a small bucket, all "breathing" the same oxygen). Anyway, the kayaking was fun and we came across a few turtles sunning themselves on rocks and half-submerged branches.
